人 C9 是一种 61 kD 的可溶性糖蛋白。它是膜攻击复合物 （MAC） 组装的最后一个组成部分。当补体在靶膜上被激活时，多个拷贝的 C9 与 C5b-8 复合物结合并组装桶状孔，从而导致细胞裂解。C9 的构象从球状变为管状。C9 与 C5b-8 的结合在 C9 的功能中起关键作用。
