K562细胞系是从一名处于终末母细胞危象的慢性粒细胞白血病（CML）患者体内建立的。萤火虫荧光素酶K562细胞系不表达CD19、CD20或CD22抗原，因此在通过靶向B细胞抗原CD19、CD20和CD22的嵌合抗原受体（CAR）-T细胞检测特异性杀伤的实验中，它是一种极佳的阴性对照。它还可作为自然杀伤实验中高灵敏度的**体外**靶细胞。萤火虫荧光素酶报告基因产生的信号与细胞数量成正比。
萤火虫荧光素酶K562细胞系是一种在巨细胞病毒（CMV）启动子控制下组成型表达萤火虫（萤火虫）荧光素酶的K562细胞系。
该细胞系通过检测荧光素酶活性并进行细胞毒性试验得到了验证。

The cell line has been screened to confirm the absence of Mycoplasma species.
